Our Story

West Valley Taphouse began as a way to bring the best food and beverage to Dallas.  Sam’s affinity for beers of all types paired with his commercial cider making training and desire to promote the best wines in the country led to the creation of West Valley Taphouse and the huge selection we offer.

The Woodwork

Our tables, benches, wine rack, etc are all hand made from recycled trees.

Relaxing Atmosphere

Everything about our space has been built to make WVTH the most relaxing place in town.

Humble Beginnings

2015

In 2015 Sam and Suzanne purchased the property on Main St. in complete shambles.  Sam and friend Kyle spent 3 months working 12 hour days trying to bring it back to a usable condition.

The tap system was built with as many taps as would fit, and as many kegs as could be housed in the new cold storage unit.

Furniture was built, minimal decorations installed and we opened for business in November.

 

Our first sign was built by hand with help from a Dallas friend Todd.

Constant Improvement

Our patio is a great example of how we are always striving to make The Taphouse a better experience for our customers.  It started as a parking area, then in 2016 we started using it for outdoor gatherings.  In 2017 we fenced the area and built custom furniture.  In 2018 we tore out the pavement and but in concrete and stone planter box fences with hops.  In 2020 we finished the area with large tents.  In 2022 we added the arcade to the room between the front and the patio for a seamless experience.  We hope you enjoy all of it!

It took 4 years to get our patio to what is described by many as "The best outdoor seating in Dallas"

Indoor Decor

Our first major remodel was in 2018 when we added lighting, acoustics, and murals.
